Today with another product review. This is the dash rice cooker and my hubby today is going to do the long, green-brown rice. So it's one cup of rice and one and a half cups of water. Now, do you have to also rip this rice off too or leave it as it is? Okay, I think he said that you know with the white rice with him which he has been making he's been, making the long-grain white rice.

He had rinsed that off and the rice came out perfect. So now we're going to try the brown rice here they pop up all right. This is the measuring cup that comes with it and it gives you the millimeters of water cups, okay, so we're gonna. Do one cup of the brown rice now before you put the rice in, I want to explain to them. This also is the inside of the pan.
I guess you want to call this. The pan that goes inside the Dash DRCM200GBAQ04 rice cooker, and I'll show you that rice cooker in a second - and it also has measurements here for the amount of liquid that you put in this pan for the rice. The cup measurement here equates to this cup, not to the water. So when you make white rice you're supposed to use one complete cup of this and then use the measurement on here. So, since we're making brown rice we're going to use one complete cup of this because it actually equates to one cup, and then we're going to use the regular one and a half cups on a regular measuring cup of water.
So we put that in there okay. So if you stay right there for a second he's taking it to the sink and he rinses the rice off because it's not really, I think a lot of starch and brown rice yeah, perfect. Okay and now we're going to add one and a half cups of water right now in these Dash DRCM200GBAQ04 Mini rice cookers, I don't think you have to add any oil or any salt or anything unless you want to prefer to do that yourself, but we're just making this As plain steamed brown rice - and this here is the rice cooker and the metal pan sits right inside here, okay, so so we just plugged it in now. You can plug it in there now and in here, as you can see, we just put the whole metal hand in there to put the lid on, and what do you do next here? Okay, so when you, when you plug it in it automatically goes to the warm cycle, it doesn't start cooking until you actually flip this down, and then it'll just run and when it finishes.
It'Ll pop off. This cook will pop up to warm and it'll stay warm until you turn until you unplug it, okay now also which we have not made yet you can also do the steel, cut, oats, or regular oatmeal barley, sushi rice, which I believe is the short-grain rice. No, no sushi rice is probably different. Quinoa short-grain rice, and what did you just save out here? Honey, the long grain?
I'm sorry, you said the Thai jasmine rice was the same as the long grain as the white rice. So if you have like jasmine rice, these are the measurements you would use for the jasmine rice, white, rice, okay, all right so yeah, and these are the measurements of what you need to use for your rice, your oats, and for your barley, sushi, quinoa,. Also, just to give you another note, even though we use water in here, you could probably also use a chicken broth or a bone broth in here, I'm not sure, but we are going to test that as well, but we're just doing this product review Today, with water, so the next time we do brown, rice or any other rice we're going to try it with a chicken broth or a bone broth and see how that comes out, but bone broth might be too thick. So, let's just try the chicken right chicken broth like the stock, okay, so we are back and the light indicator, as you can see, is now off, and this was like how many minutes about 45 minutes which it would probably cook for. If it was on top of the stove, yes, but you know you don't have to do all the extra stuff that, when you're on the stove, as opposed to just when it's in this little, whatever steamer all right.
So by the way, the um warm light. Will stay on as long as it's plugged in okay, so um? If you walked away from it and came back, it would keep it warm. Probably would dry it out a little bit, not really sure, but it would still keep it warm, but we want to make sure it's not I'm gonna. It'S not mushy, I'm sure it isn't, but I'm gonna move the top.
You can see the steam and we fluff it up a little bit fluff stuff. So it is not mushy, it feels like whole kernels. Then everything is completely cooked and it does fluff up and with the right rice with white rice, you sometimes will see. If you don't wash all that starch off you'll see a little bit of residue around the top of it, so you don't see that with this ground right, so it doesn't have a lot of starch in it. You can tell but yeah this will.
This is unseasoned. So you're gonna need to put some salt, pepper or something on it or whatever you like, but um yeah. This looks good yeah all right so well. This is our product review of the Dash mini rice cooker. We did brown rice and, like I said the other day, we did some white rice and I'll show you a picture of what my husband made with the white rice.
